As early explorers in Tennessee, Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett enjoyed the hospitality of Belle Meade, including a fine sup and a glass or two of wine. We believe Muscadine wine, made from one of the only native American grapes unique to the South, was probably on the table. Throughout the 5,400 acres of the original Plantation, wild Muscadine vines flourished then as they do today, giving our Muscadine wine a flavor as refined as it is wild and free.
